Product updates

We're building in public and iterating with early customers. Here's a timeline of major releases and improvements.

February 2025 — Editor: links, tooltips & theming

Rich link support in the document editor, link preview tooltips, and a unified look for editor menus.

  • Link support in bubble menu and slash menu: add links from the toolbar or via /
  • Link preview tooltip on hover: shows URL and "Open link" when hovering over links
  • Slash menu link flow: inserts placeholder text and lets you edit both link text and URL
  • Link editor positioning fixed: no longer appears at the top of the page or disappears when scrolling
  • Editor menu theming: dropdowns, menus, and popovers (slash menu, bubble menu, link editor, mentions) share consistent borders, backgrounds, and transitions
  • Mention tooltips unified into a single plugin for user, task, and document mentions

February 2025 — Tasks calendar, responsive UI & display

Calendar lives inside Tasks, listing views are more responsive, the display dropdown stays consistent when switching views, and the standalone calendar route is removed.

  • Tasks calendar: year, month, and day views; day view shows full task rows (priority, status, identifier, title, assignee, activity) like the list
  • Drag-and-drop in day view: drop tasks on the day to set due date; task rows in day view are draggable to month or "No due date" sidebar
  • Year view: dropping a task shows a warning to switch to month or day view to reschedule
  • Responsive list view: priority, assignee, and activity columns hide on small screens; status, identifier, and title stay visible
  • New Task button visible on mobile (icon-only) and in the tasks header; two-row header no longer overlaps when wrapped
  • Board and calendar: improved small-screen layout; "No due date" sidebar stacks below the calendar on mobile
  • Display dropdown: Group by, Order by, and Completed issues stay visible when switching between List, Board, and Calendar (no more hidden items)
  • Calendar removed from global sidebar and standalone /calendar page; calendar is available only via Tasks → Display → Calendar

February 2025 — Task detail & create flow

Task activity comments, create-related flow, new task meta with team selection, and Git links in the task sidebar.

  • Activity comments are read-only with correct user avatars (same as nav)
  • Create related: task menu opens the new-task screen with the chosen relationship (Sub issue, Parent issue, Related/Blocking/Blocked/Duplicate); relationship is applied automatically after create
  • New task page shows task meta below the title; team is pre-filled from parent or related task when applicable
  • Team selection in the create flow, in the same meta block as priority, status, and other fields
  • GitHub (Git) links for a task appear in the task right sidebar under a "Git" section for quick access
